GRC New Member Information

We'd Love to See You!

Greater Richmond Chorus is more than just an a cappella ensemble, we are a sisterhood! We love getting together each week, sharing friendships as well as great music. Visit a rehearsal and find out more about us and what we can do for you. You'll have the opportunity to hear us perform four-part a cappella harmony and join us on the risers to experience the music and fun we have in Greater Richmond Chorus.

We welcome visitors to our weekly rehearsals at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church on Thursdays at 6:30pm and also host special Guest Nights multiple times throughout the year. Check the Event calendar for upcoming Guest Nights and performances. Come see what it's all about!

In the meantime, take a few moments to learn more about what it's like to become a member of Greater Richmond Chorus!

Common Barbershop Terms

Barbershop harmony has a unique lingo. To help you get your bearings, here are some common barbershop terms that you may hear during rehearsals. These may describe vocal technique, chorus behaviors, or vocal quality. Practice learning the terms below!

To get started, click OPTIONS > ANSWER WITH and change the setting to BOTH. Close the options menu, then click the left and right arrows under the flashcard to scroll through the terms.
