I was delighted to be able to coordinate the MMEA Electronic Music Composition Contest, modeled after a similar contest hosted by NAfME.

Coordinating this contest across the state of Missouri entails several steps, from publicizing the contest, creating application forms, securing judges, to hosting a final culminating awards presentation featuring the student winners (and of course their electronic music compositions) at the Missouri Music Educators Conference and Workshop.

I was honored to recognize two students from my digital media class, one current and one from last year. Congrats to Hunter (3rd place) and Dane (1st place) for their hard work and excellent compositions.
